Parque Reforma is committed to the preservation, enhancement and protection of the nation's natural wonders and has been a continual supporter of the Mexican Foundation for Environmental Education. The CostaBaja Resort & Marina master plan is the first in Mexico to voluntarily comply with the federal government's environmental auditing program from start to finish. Evidence of this sensitivity and respect for nature can be seen throughout CostaBaja Resort & Marina in its native plant life and natural beauty.

One of Parque Reforma's founders is a noted environmentalist. His leadership and commitment was exhibited in the successful effort to preserve one of Mexico's national treasures, Isla Espíritu Santo, in the Sea of Cortez. The island was purchased and donated to the Mexican government to preserve its natural wonders for future generations. Today, The Nature Conservancy helps maintain its pristine state. That same spirit guides the creation of CostaBaja Resort & Marina, establishing it as a place where the magic of its unique surrounding environment is not only appreciated and enjoyed but also respected and protected.

De Yturbe Architectos places a strong emphasis on the timeless value of Mexican architecture characterized by strong lines, bold colors and the generous use of space. Phase I of CostaBaja Resort & Marina, comprised of the Fiesta Inn, Condos de Playa, Villas de Playa, Pueblo Marinero Condos and the vibrant Pueblo Marinero marina village was conceived of and developed by De Yturbe Architectos.
